With the new ray-tracing and tensor cores, the RTX S is clearly the better choice. The RTX Super is positioned in the high-end segment and therefore most current games should run fluently in 4k and high detail settings but without ray tracing. The following benchmarks stem from our benchmarks of review laptops.
The performance depends on the used graphics memory, clock rate, processor, system settings, drivers, and operating systems. So the results don't have to be representative for all laptops with this GPU. For detailed information on the benchmark results, click on the fps number. Power Requirements.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super review
The PC version of the game is always the best, especially when Microsoft offers up an optional high-resolution texture pack. I've got the high resolution texture pack installed, with motion blur and vertical sync both disabled.
But you aren't buying these cards for p, are you? At the higher-end side of things we have x performance, with the 60FPS mark as my personal minimum. Not everyone wants to play, nor actually own a 4K gaming monitor -- with x a much more popular resolution, and a personal favorite of mine. With everything cranked up to Ultra bar a few settings like AA, you can enjoy stellar performance in a great-looking and super-popular game like Gears 5.
However, if you want to truly crush your gaming rig into a fine dust then you will need to run Gears 5 at 8K -- or x which is 4x the pixels of 4K and 16x the pixels of p. Truly insane stuff, and something I tested here -- Gears 5 benchmarked at 8K. But if you want to step into the realm of 4K with most details cranked to the max, you're going to need to side with Team Green.

Nine months after the RTX initially went on sale, yields have likely improved and Nvidia now has a reason to improve performance. Silly branding aside seriously, 'Super' was the best name Nvidia could come up with? So much for AMD's 10 percent performance advantage over the The Super has the advantage of being able to add more memory and thus increase bandwidth relative to the vanilla The GeForce RTX already uses a fully enabled TU chip, which means Nvidia needs to look elsewhere if it's going to improve performance by adding more cores.
Basically, the Super is like a trimmed down RTX That combined with the additional four SMs means performance is theoretically up to 22 percent faster than the RTX But theory and real-world results don't always agree. Since the Super has the same memory bandwidth and configuration, in practice the performance improvement often ends up being closer to percent. The good news is that any added performance relative to the RTX comes without an increase in price.
And the arrival of the Super also heralds the phasing out of the regular You can see the full specs for our GPU test bed on the right. We use a Core iK overclocked to 5. It doesn't matter much with slower graphics cards, but for cards as fast as the RTX Super, we don't want anything holding the GPU back. We've benchmarked using the latest drivers available at the time of testing, including retesting older GPUs to ensure our results are up to date. All Nvidia GPUs were tested with the For AMD, we used the I'm testing with 11 games that include a pretty even mix of AMD and Nvidia promoted titles.
Every setting is tested multiple times to ensure the consistency of the results, and we use the best score. That's the same sum as the original RTX Founders Edition released in October last year, so we're seeing a considerable upgrade in value after less than twelve months.
If you're considering the card or one of its competitors, you'll need to know how it performs - so that's where these benchmarks come into play. Before we start looking at the results, it's helpful to know how exactly the RTX Super compares to its predecessors. That means the Super is essentially a cut-down RTX instead of a scaled-up RTXso we can expect a generous boost in performance - at the expense of higher power consumption and heat generation.
The RTX Super is available as a reference Founders Edition card direct from Nvidia, but most people will opt for a custom card made by Nvidia's partners. These cards don't always have the best overclocking performance, but they often offer a more robust cooling solution and are available in a wider variety of form factors.
In any case, here's how Nvidia and AMD's product lineups look when compared to one another:. If you've seen our benchmark pages on a desktop browser before, you'll know they look a different to those of most other sites. Instead of static bar charts or YouTube videos with burnt in video metrics, we use a dynamic system that lets you see just the cards and resolutions you're interested in.RTX 2070 SUPER + i7 9700K Test in 10 Games
Select the data points you want using the controls to the right of the video embed, then hit play to see how each card handles the test scene as it plays out in real time. For quick summaries, you can see a bar chart below each video. Hover to swap between best, worst and average frame-rates for each card, and click on the chart to go from frame-rate counts to percentages or vice versa. With that covered, let's begin. We begin with Assassins Creed Odyssey, a lush open-world game with a very convenient built-in benchmark.
The RTX Super shows its chops right out of the gate here, scoring a very slightly higher average at p than the full-fat RTX The average is nine percentage points higher than the originalten points higher than the RTX Super. Things change a bit at p and 4K, where the RTX pulls out to a six to seven per cent lead over the Super, which itself is only about five per cent faster than the original RTX We continue with another AC title, 's Unity.
This game's ultra high preset still provides a reasonable challenge to modern GPUs, although it's not until we hit 4K that achieving 60fps becomes difficult. If you're trying to decide between the Super and Super, there's around a 13 per cent advantage for going with the more expensive card at p or p.
These cards are almost inseparable at p and 4K, with averages of fps and 74fps, respectively.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super (Desktop)
Returning our focus to Nvidia now, the Super shows around a 15 per cent advantage over the vanillawhile the RTX remains four per cent ahead of the Super card. Crysis 3 continues to be a standard against which new graphics hardware is judged, with only one card - the RTX Ti - managing to deliver a 60fps average at very high settings and 4K resolution. The Super is still some distance from achieving that with a 48fps average, sitting neatly ahead of the original 43fps and behind the full-fat 53fps.
All told, the performance uplift from to Super is 12 per cent; from the Super to Super it's 17 per cent.It has a base and boost clock speed of and MHz respectively and a W power draw compared to the W per the original An RTX Super has also been launched.

A graphics card with more power than the Ti, for less price. Aaand the best is, it has RTX support. I think in the high-end gaming market, this is the best value for the price.
Super solid. For the price, i think this the Super is extremly good. So, which RTX Super is the one we should be paying attention to? Currently, it seems the "unofficial" one has more results. UserBenchmark needs to get this sorted out.
It's good value for money considering it's about the same performance as a for the price of a It is a powerful card, I'll give Nvidia that. However, the price seems to be a bit unjust and would steer away from it a bit. If they lower the prices for it which they probably willI would recommend this over the RX XT.Though we don't know how the Super fares against the upcoming RX XT, it's a great GPU regardless with excellent performance and very good acoustics and thermals.
A less expensive RTX It's unknown if there will be a Ti Super, but we can certainly hope. If you were hoping that information is in this review, sadly it is not, so please be patient. So what's so super about it? Nvidia claims the changes made to the card allow it to surpass the legendary GTX Ti.
Also note that there will be Super cards from Nvidia's partners as well as this one, made by Nvidia. The CUDA core count has been bumped up by percent, and there are percent more texture units too, which is a decent improvement. Ray tracing performance has improved as well, with the card now able to produce one more "Gigaray" than the previous model, edging it ever closer to the RTX 's on-paper performance.
